Betty Skidmore Stage Concert Series Presents The Drum Brothers

What happens when you take the rhythms pulsing within us and around us, through our breath and heartbeat, and through the dance of our lives in the world and create a concert? Why, you have the second concert in the Betty Skidmore Stage concert series with the Drum Brothers right here in Colville!
Since the dawn of human culture, drums and percussion have been used as a tool for expression, communication, and celebration. The Drum Brothers present high energy performances that celebrate a diverse mix of world instruments and sounds: West African djembe and dunun drums, Egyptian and Irish frame drums, Australian didgeridoo, close harmony vocals, bass & acoustic guitar, saxophone and flute, and original arrangements and compositions.

In addition to the concert there will be drum and dance workshops on Sunday May 19th, Location TBA. Hand Drumming Workshop 11-12:30 African Dance Workshop 1-2:30. Tickets may be purchased starting April 1st at the R. E. Lee store in Colville. The performance will be May 18 at 7pm at the First Congregational United Church of Christ (FCUCC) at 205 N. Maple in Colville. Prices will be $10 for students and seniors, $15 for adults, and $40 for families with four or more members. Nursery care will be available.
