Author Luncheon with Linda Cardillo
Join us Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 11:30 am- 2:30 pm at Peter Pratt's Inn (673 Croton Heights Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598) for our Author Luncheon.Enjoy a delicious 3-course lunch and meet Linda Cardillo!
Linda Cardillo is an award-winning author who writes about the old country and the new, the tangle and embrace of family, and finding courage in the midst of loss. Hailed by Publishers Weekly as a Fresh Face, Linda has built a loyal following with her works of fictionthe novels Dancing on Sunday Afternoons, Across the Table, The Boat House Café, The Uneven Road, and Island Legacy, as well as novellas in the anthologies The Valentine Gift and A Mothers Heart and the illustrated childrens book The Smallest Christmas Tree. Her newest book, Love That Moves the Sun, is a work of historical fiction based on the relationship between the artist Michelangelo and the poet Vittoria Colonna, the only woman he ever loved.
She will be discussing how she came to write LOVE THAT MOVES THE SUNher discovery of Vittoria Colonna, research into her fascinating life and the history of 16th-century Italy, and her immersion in the art and landscape through museums and trips to Italy. After the presentation will sign book if any attendee who like, and will be selling copies of her book plus a few of her earlier novels DANCING ON SUNDAY AFTERNOONS, THE BOAT HOUSE CAFE, THE UNEVEN ROAD AND ISLAND LEGACY Reserve early space is limited!
