Description: Sonoma Lab Works will present this SCGA Learning Lab at the Lab. With heavy metals testing required as of 2019, the cannabis industry has a new source of contamination to contend with prior to legal retail sale. Sonoma Lab Works plans to give an overview of the past 3 months of testing for heavy metals, and the most common pathways of contamination. This presentation will include the most common heavy metals, pathways of contamination, and an overview of how heavy metals testing is done.
Who should attend: Cannabis cultivators and manufacturers.
Why: Cannabis cultivators/manufacturers can learn the things to avoid when working with certain products, along with geographical "hotspots" for certain heavy metals.
