ST. VINCENT'S HILL HOMES TOUR TOUR

CRAFTSMAN HOMES of VALLEJO TOUR
SAINT VINCENT'S HISTORICAL HILL DISTRICT

Tour Vallejo's Saint Vincent's Historic Hill District's workingman craftsman bungalows and carriage houses built in the late 1800s by Mare Island Naval based shipbuilders.

Of the five homes on display will be a variety of architectural styles beginning with Greek revival and Gold Rush cottages. These imaginative shipbuilders showed their unsurpassed skill and craftsmanship by carving houses out of wood and integrated different styles and elements into their craftsman homes.

In 2003, the Saint Vincent' Hill Historic District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The nomination lists 752 historic resources from the earliest Gold Rush cottages to Moderne buildings from World War II.

Prior to the Self-Guided Walking Tour, enjoy a Mad Hatter Tea Party welcoming reception with whimsical characters, entertainment and refreshments at Unity Day in City Park.

The Tour will come to a close with a wine and cheese reception at The McCree-Goudeau Gallery.

Ferry services available from San Francisco and walking distance from Vallejo Ferry Terminal.

$25 Tickets support Vinnie's Community Gardens and the Mad Hatter Holiday Festival, Parade & Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Vallejo (Facebook Page: MadHatterHolidayVallejo).
