Description: Academy Accreditation
Upon successful completion of the Academy students will have met or exceeded all requirements for NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I (4.2 4.7). NFPA Firefighter II and NFPA Fire Instructor I are preferred pre-requisites; please note these certifications are required for certification (4.1 - General Requirements).

Academy Activities
This academy will have numerous hours outside on the drill ground developing fireground leadership skills including live fire training. Students will need to bring all structural PPE including SCBA and a spare cylinder on specified dates. This academy will provide substantial interaction in group/team settings.
Academy Overview
This academy will use ResourceOne for all online pre-course work and the IFSTA Fire and Emergency Services Company Officer 5th edition text book.
Attendance Requirements
Students must make the commitment to complete all assigned online coursework and attend all 10 days in order to receive a certificate of course completion.
