Glutened
An estimated 1% of the Irish population suffer from Celiac Disease - but just what does it mean to be glutened...?

Delve deep into the belly of a woman with a very unusual condition. Follow her as she worms her way out of hilariously tragic situations where her quest to feel normal leads to the discovery of a new verb.

What started off as a journey to Heaven somehow ended up in the bowels of Hell. She may have bitten off more than she can chew  and the truth may be harder to digest.

Drawing on a true story, writer and actress Catherine Connolly shines a funny and insightful light on a little-known condition that is more common than people think.

1.I have set up a Facebook page for this event: GLUTENED

2.See - Lee - Ack. There, you've said it, Celiac. Delve deep into the belly of a woman with a very unusual condition.  Follow her trials and tribulations as she worms her way out of hilarious but tragic situations which leads to the discovery of a new verb and a hidden truth that may be hard to digest. She started off on a journey to heaven but somehow ended up in the bowels of Hell wearing socks on her hands. She may have bitten off more than she can chew but does she have the guts to admit it ?

3. Written from a place of truth and inspired by real events, with live music, newly composed songs accompanied with her guitar and Irish Gaelic (sean nós / old style acappella song). Catherine hopes to raise awareness about Celiac Disease by sharing her story. By the way, she wants the audience to know she is known by 2 names: English and Irish version depending on who knows her.

4. Catherine Connolly (Caitriona Ni Chonaola) is an Actor, Writer, Traditional Singer/Songwriter and Storyteller from Galway, Ireland.
