Play Tuesdays with Morrie
Based on the best-selling book by Mitch Albom and adapted for the stage by Albom and renowned playwright and screen writer Jeffrey Hatcher (Mr. Holmes, Casanova, Stage Beauty), TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is the hilarious and heart-warming story of the relationship between sportswriter Mitch, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch re-connects with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a delightful and moving last class in the meaning of life.
The play is performed at the Anna Arts Center, 125 W Davie Street, Anna, IL on March 16, 2019, Saturday, at 7 pm and March 17, 2019, Sunday, at 2 pm.
