Fashion Design Expo Fundraiser
The Frances B. North Legacy Initiative honors Mrs. North's unforgettable life, work, service, and sense of style. She was an incredible African American woman who made a significant impact on civil rights, desegregation, education and fashion design in the city of Seattle. Our goal is to honor her with a public monument, a historical archive of her experiences, and an ongoing annual scholarship for a minority student pursuing fashion design and higher education. This Black History Month event will celebrate and honor Mrs. North.
