Lunch with a Leader: Sam Askew
Leadership Kitsap Alumni Association's Lunch With A Leader series is designed to benefit all Leadership Kitsap Alumni. Join our regional leaders for lunch and hear the stories of their leadership journeys. The conversations will be organic, thought-provoking, and alumni-lead. Lunches are quarterly. We will take the first 12 alumni to sign up.
Sam Askew has recently transitioned to the position of CEO for Port Madison Enterprises, an agency of the Suquamish Tribe, where his responsibilities encompass economic development and enterprise diversification, along with existing gaming operations. The previous 7 years, he oversaw resort operations at Tulalip Resort Casino and led long term development & master planning processes at the Tulalip Gaming Organization. He has over 30 years of hospitality experience including work in 25 states and 4 countries for Marriott, IHG, and independent luxury & select service owners; 9 new properties, 13 full renovations, and the opening, renovation, or rebrand of 50+ related outlets, venues, and amenities. In addition, he has over 15 years of gaming experience including executive positions with 3 Washington State Tribes and consultancy for 12 other Western Tribes. Before beginning his career Askew studied Hotel and Restaurant Management at Northern Arizona Universitys Hospitality School.
While there is NO CHARGE for this opportunity for our alumni, if you do not show and do not cancel within 12 hours of the event, you will be charged $15 for your lunch. We anticipate a waiting list and people would value the chance to attend that were not able to be one of the first 12.
