The endearing warmth and charm of Julia Mark's music and voice has quickly made her a favorite in the Boston music scene. With the songwriting penchant of Carole King and the soft-easy vocal of Suzanne Vega, Julia is for the listener who likes to transcend into a musical and visual scene. Joanna Schubert is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter, pianist, and music educator. She has a background in classical piano and theater, a slightly excessive love of atypical vocal harmonies, and a deep appreciation for songwriter goddesses like Kate Bush, Carole King, and Regina Spektor. Together these two performers will alternate songs for two sets this evening.
