Welcome to Seattle's March Is Cabaret Month Festival 2019!

This DISCOUNTED double-feature ticket buys you a seat for back-to-back shows, featuring two performers at 7 pm and a different two performers at 9 pm. (There will be a half-hour break from 8:30 to 9.)

Here's the lineup for Saturday, March 2:

JEANNETTE d'ARMAND & JOHN PATRICK LOWRIE in "'ROUND TWILIGHT"

Singer Jeannette d'Armand and acoustic guitarist John Patrick Lowrie bring you a collection of jazz and acoustic music that explores the space between light and dark in our changing seasons and times.

ABOUT JEANNETTE d'ARMAND

Jeannette d'Armand was soprano soloist in Cirque du Soleil's "Mystére" and has performed in the 5th Avenue Theatre's productions of "Sweeney Todd", "Sound of Music", "Oklahoma!", "Oliver", and "Beautiful Poison" (workshop). She has performed with Showtunes Theatre Company (Our Lady of the Spa in "Nine"; Faye in "George M"); the Seattle Opera Chorus; Amy Denio's original work "Non lo so, Polo", with which Jeannette toured Europe; and as a guest artist with Seattle Men's Chorus. Jeannette is a professional voiceover artist and maintains an active voice studio.

ABOUT JOHN PATRICK LOWRIE
John Patrick Lowrie has been nominated for Gregory Awards for his work in My Fair Lady (Village Theatre) and Sugar Daddies (ACT, directed by Sir Alan Ayckbourn). He has worked at theaters throughout the US and in Europe; voiced characters in 25 video games including the Sniper in Team Fortress 2; and led acclaimed acoustic guitar duo The Kiethe/Lowrie Duet for nine years. His novel "Dancing With Eternity" won the Foreword Firsts Award for Best Debut Fiction.

ROGER SCHMELZER in "HEART SONGS"

Roger Schmelzer puts the American Songbook to generous and charming use in an upbeat, tuneful evening directed by the legendary Marilyn Maye.

ABOUT ROGER SCHMELZER

Roger Schmelzer is an accomplished and versatile baritone based in Indianapolis. Directed by the legendary Marilyn Maye, Roger made his New York cabaret debut to critical acclaim at the Metropolitan Room in 2017 and has appeared at the Jazz Kitchen (Indianapolis), Davenport's (Chicago), Don't Tell Mama (NYC) and Cabaret at Germano's (Baltimore). His recording, "About Now", continues to be streamed worldwide.  Roger is on the board of the Great American Songbook Foundation founded by Michael Feinstein. He and his wife Lucinda have three grown children and a two-year old granddaughter.

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents:
VALERIE PIACENTI in "CHAPTERS"

Starring vocalist Valerie Piacenti and musical director/pianist extraordinaire Nick Moore, CHAPTERS is a show focusing on life in the theatre in New York City, Seattle, and places in between. Songs reflect the journey, along with personal anecdotes.

ABOUT VALERIE PIACENTI

Valerie Piacenti, originally from the Chicago area, has made Seattle her home for the past 30 years. She's performed at many local venues, including Seattle Rep, Cabaret de Paris, Kirkland Performance Center and The 5th Avenue Theatre. She was the soprano soloist with Pacific Northwest Ballet's Silver Lining, including the London production accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic. While living in NYC for nearly 12 years, Valerie made her Broadway debut in The Pirates of Penzance, starring Kevin Kline. Valerie's new show CHAPTERS, about life in the theatre, recently premiered at Egan's. Her CD "Standard Time: Songs of World War II" can be found on Amazon.

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents:
PRINCESS GUY in "THE PRINCESS CHRONICLES"

A preview of spring offerings from Princess Guy, the self-directed, independent male vocal quartet made up of former members of Captain Smartypants and Zipper! Original vocal arrangements of pop, jazz and comedy songs, as well as comedic takes on non-comedic songs.

ABOUT PRINCESS GUY

Princess Guy [prin-ses gahy] is a North American vocal ensemble of four fabulous fellows, founded in 2018 for the purpose of singing multifarious songs for audiences of sung song enthusiasts. Based in Seattle, the self-directed collective includes Eric Lane Barnes (baritone), Jeffrey Erickson (tenor), Paul Rosenberg (bass) and Ritchie Wooley (tenor). Roughly eighty per cent a cappella, Princess Guy presents a vast range of music styles emphasizing interesting harmony and unexpected interpretations of jazz, pop, R&B and pretty much anything we fancy.

Doors for the double feature open at 6:30 pm.
