Jazz @ The Dance Hall: Chris Klaxton / Taylor O'Donnell Quintet

Trumpeter / keyboardist Chris Klaxton and vocalist Taylor O'Donnell return to the Dance Hall with a new quintet featuring virtuoso violinist Jason Anick, drummer John Mettam, and The Bassist Formerly Known as Rob Gerry.

A relatively new transplant to the Seacoast, violinist Jason Anick is already no stranger to the Dance Hall, as his brain child "Django By The Sea" festival has been wowing audiences for several years over. A masterful instrumentalist, Jason is gifted with a profound sense of language, at home in a host of styles and settings. From Gypsy Jazz, to Straight Ahead, Folk, Classical, Bluegrass, and as modern as one could be - Jason delivers melodies with expert lyricism and is an uncanny improviser.

Having become fast friends, Klaxton and Anick have been looking for the right opportunity to collaborate, and here it is! With the ever inspiring and eclectic Taylor O'Donnell at the helm delivering lyric in her inimitable way, this quintet is sure to provide many a something for many a listener.
