Youth and Young Adult Training Workshop
There are 4.9 million American youth/young adults aged 16-24 years old who are out of school or not working: 1 in 7 young people are disconnected from our economy. Over 40% of Catalyst Kitchens members provide youth-focused programming while the rest of our member organizations serve young adults along with others over 18 to help close this gap. In response to this, Catalyst Kitchens will host our first National Youth and Young Adult Training Workshop in 2019.
Catalyst Kitchens will be convening youth/young adult-focused foodservice job training programs to explore new and innovative approaches to working with young people. Come join like-minded program staff to explore how to engage youth/young adults and provide quality job readiness training.
This event will be co-hosted in New Orleans, Louisiana by Model Member Libertys Kitchen and Café Reconcile, two nationally-recognized youth and young adult culinary job training programs.
