Story League Contest: Comedy

Submit your 100-word story synopsis here for a chance to compete: http://www.storyleague.org/submit-your-story. Deadline is Friday, July 12 at 5 o'clock. Our 3 expert judges will consider all story idea submissions and decide which stories they most wish to hear. You will be notified by Monday, July 15 whether you are guaranteed to go on. One storytelling slot will be selected randomly at the contest from on-the-spot-submitted names in a jack-o-lantern.

You will have 7 minutes to tell a true personal story about COMEDY, whatever that means to you (the setting can onstage or offstage). At 6 minutes you will receive a signal that you only have 1 minute left. No notes or props are allowed.

The Judges' favorite will be announced at the end of the night and will receive $100 cash as a prize. The audience will also select its favorite! Both winners go on to compete in a Story League Tournament where the prize jumps to $250!
