Save Our Heritage Organisation celebrates the 31st annual People In Preservation Awards, the region's most prestigious preservation awards, held each year during National Preservation Month.

Please join SOHO to celebrate and pay tribute to those who embody the best in preservation in San Diego County.

The PIP awards are an opportunity for SOHO and fellow San Diegans to recognize the efforts of property owners and the work they do in preserving the historic resources of our region. People In Preservation encourages historic preservation and acknowledges that good preservation can be found in the restoration of the most modest residence to the grandest mansion; from our earliest structures to mid-century contributions, and include both the private and the public sector.

"We are pleased to honor this diverse group of eight winners, who persevered in their preservation projects despite unfavorable economic conditions, unexpected discoveries, and the necessity for highly skilled craftspeople," said Bruce Coons, SOHO's executive director. "These people breathed new life into historic structures as large as a four-story, 1914 downtown hotel built for tourists coming to the 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition and as small as a charming, meticulously renovated Ocean Beach cottage a block or so from the beach. We all benefit from their hard work."

The event is open to the public; SOHO invites all San Diegans and lovers of San Diego's history to help celebrate the individuals, organizations, and projects whose dedication, determination and tireless efforts in the field of historic preservation are invaluable to preserving our county's heritage.

Ticket includes hors d'oeuvres and cocktail reception before the awards ceremony. Cocktail or business casual attire is suggested.

Parking is residential street parking, or guests can use the San Diego County Credit Union parking lot across the street after hours.
