Bitch & Tell: A real, funny show
Footloose Presents is launching its new comedy series Bitch & Tell: A real, funny show. With a penchant for all things earnest, raw, and hilarious, your favorite local comedians will be taking you on some speed therapy loosely wound around Moms and jobs. Come early to get coached and coaxed to be onstage and stay late for free cake and champagne.
Tracy Shapiro will host and perform her cheeky songs and be joined onstage by audience and the other comedians. Tracy's natural wit, charm and timing will win you over. And to guarantee much more laughter will be Allison Mick, Bob McIntyre, Bruce Yelaska and Clare O'Kane.
Tracy Shapiro, musician/comedian is singlehandedly responsible for the emergence of the groundbreaking and boundary pushing Elevator RiotGal movement. Tracy's courtship of music and comedy breeds stream of consciousness with rap ballads, cheeky punk and not-so-ladylike confessionals. While playing music venues, comedy clubs, warehouses, theaters and barn parties throughout New York City and Brooklyn, Tracy slowly gave in to the sweet intoxication of audience laughter. She spent a summer on tour with The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players and is now doing shows in the Bay Area while preparing for the debut of her one woman punk-rap opera. Clare O'Kane is an actress and comedian who has performed in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, as well as a few comedy festivals with fun, fake-sounding names like the Shits and Giggles Comedy Festival and the Too Much Funstival. She is a member of Sylvan Productions. She was once featured in a Puerto Rican skateboard magazine when she was 13 and was described as a "tough, young, dark haired girl." Allison Mick is new to the San Francisco standup scene and has performed everywhere from the Mission to Civic Center. She got her start in comedy by making her therapist laugh. Her observations on sex, race, and fast food have been called "funny" by more than one person. www.allison-mick.tumblr.com
Bob McIntyre got his first job as a waiter at the local bingo hall in Colonial Manor, New Jersey at age 13 where he learned the skills that would carry him through an additional 28 years of various restaurant jobs in a variety of establishments that would never be referred to as "fine dining." Along the way he performed some comedy here and there including recently at Comedy Bodega with Marga Gomez.
Bruce Yelaska is a Graphic/Product Designer at Bruce Yelaska Design and teaches at UC Berkeley Extension. He's also an improviser and 20% of the the improv comedy group Moosehead.
