Spring is coming one way or another - and with it comes Maifest!

One weekend, six hours of your time, one fantastic fundraiser: the DANK Haus German American Cultural Center is part of Maifest Chicago 30 May - 2 Jun 2013!

You want first dibs? You know you do! Maifest is the best festival in town, so kick off summer the right way! Sign up for a shift grilling brats, stacking mugs, or building the bar. You'll love it! And you will be helping to raise funds for language and cultural programming. Everybody wins!

ORIENTATION - learn why we participate in Maifest and how we do it

AUFBAU - building our awesome bar and kitchen

KITCHEN - scooping and serving delicious German food

GRILL - brats, Thueringer, and fire

BAR - stocking mugs, singing with the band, and maybe pouring a beer or two

ABBAU - taking apart our awesome bar and kitchen

Perfect opportunity to wear head to toe Trachten.

Volunteer Appreciation Party on June 21 at 7:30pm. Pieptone! will be performing and you will be able to meet your fellow volunteers in an environment a bit more relaxed than Maifest.

Maifest is a great fundraising opportunity for the DANK Haus - THANK YOU for giving your time so generously! Your hard work and enthusiasm support our cultural programming, language learning, museum exhibits, archives, and fine arts performances that allow us to stay a vital part of the Lincoln Square neighborhood and Chicago.
