DocFest / New York (TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR)
DocFest (docfestjazz.org) is proud to have our inaugural New York Benefit Concert (matinee), hosted by The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Featured performers include world renown drummer/composer Eric Harland with Aaron Parks, piano; Matt Brewer, bass; Walter Smith III, tenor sax and Mike Moreno, guitar.
Headlining the event is an incredible trio of the best trumpet players in the world, Randy Brecker, Wallace Roney and Marvin Stamm, accompanied by Helen Sung, piano; Marcos Varela, bass and Reggie Quinerly, drums. Robert Doc Morgan, MC.
Bring your instruments to participate in the jam session immediately following the concert 5:30pm - 7:30pm, hosted by James Francies. All proceeds benefit the Helen and Bob Morgan Jazz Scholarship at The New School.
