PLAYOFFS 2018: AUDIENCE FAVORITES SHOWCASE
The Playwrights' Center of San Francisco proudly presents PLAYOFFS 2018, continuing our 18-year tradition of showcasing short plays by Bay Area playwrights. Our previous showcases have been nominated for TBA awards, and the 2015 showcase won a TBA award for Outstanding Production of an Anthology.
This November we present a collection of eight short plays: six selected by audience vote during three preliminary rounds of readings, and two chosen by the production team. From ghostly border patrol agents to feminists in heaven, from the Middle East to a new vision of America, from human relationships to those with electronic assistants, these plays encompass a variety of genres, tones, and styles that range from hilarious to poignant and powerful.
But they all have one thing in common -- audiences chose them as the plays they most wanted to see again!
The Playwrights: Lorraine Midanik, Ed Brownson, Lynn Aylward, Phillip Gerson, Marsha Roberts, Bill Hyatt, David O. Stein, and L "Z" Zephyr
Featuring an ensemble cast: Floriana Alessandria, Cary Ann Rosko, Kim Saunders, Scott Van de Mark, Robert Kittler, Cristhian Ayvar, and Rasheed Custer.
