When Worlds Collide

ABOUT THE SHOW:
"When Worlds Collide" is an original theatrical dance performance that merges dance and fashion. The goal is to showcase the parallel worlds between fashion and dance. The show will start in the 18th Century and then go from decade to decade and showcase music, fashion and dance of each era up until present time. Along with the dance performances there is an interactive exhibit in the lobby to showcase original fashions from each era. The show is written, directed, choreographed and starring Italian Latin dance champion and actor Filippo Gurrieri along with his students from Filip Ross Art Dance Studio and professional dancer and instructor Zoya Altmark.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR/CHOREOGRAPHER:
Known as a world class latin ballroom dancer and for creating beautiful, dramatic and artistic performance, Filippo Ross-Gurrieri, is an Italian native from the island of Sicily. At the early age of eight he became the youngest dancer to train and become the winner of the Sicilian Championship for Ballroom and Latin American Dance. Gurrieri later went on to achieve the "Italian Champion of Latin American Standard Dance" and held the title for four consecutive years. After years of training Gurrieri went on to open a franchise of dance schools throughout Sicily named "Magic Moment Dance School". In 2000, Filippo expanded into acting and moved to Rome where he became a graduate of the Theatre Academy and later secured a contract to work with well known Italian Actress Anna Mazzamauro. For five years he continued to tour many important theaters throughout Italy as an actor and choreographer. In 2007, Gurrieri relocated to the USA, to further pursue his dreams and has continued to mesmerize audiences with his powerful and passionate performances. In 2016, Gurrieri opened his first dance studio in the United States, Filip Ross Art Dance Studio in Englewood, NJ.
