Bassist, composer and band leader Dave Sharp and his new WORLDS QUARTET returns to the Lansing scene to present their blend of Arabic, Eastern European and world music influenced original compositions. Recognized in the Jazz Times Critics Poll, the Dave Sharp WORLDS QUARTET masterfully blends rhythms, sounds, and textures from across the globe. This evening of "World Jazz" music will feature Dave Sharp on Electric Bass, Quatar and Synthesizer, Igor Houwat on Oud and Henrik Karapetyan on violin/ The WORLDS QUARTET will feature compositions from their new CD release DELTA on Vortex World Music Recordings, including Desert Sky, Hicaz Mandira and Mishra Shiva Ranjani.
