The changing seasons reveal such interesting things! Using nature as our guide, we will slow way down from the hectic modern pace of life to draw what we see, using graphite and colored pencils. Join us for one day or all three days of this unique series. Paetra will teach techniques with various mediums, including pan pastels, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, and graphite. Create beautiful images among the plant books and lore of the charming Ethnobotany Library. Class limited to 12 participants.
Day 1- Drawing the Harvest in Pan Pastels Sunday, October 14 10am-3pm [To purchase Day 1 only, visit: drawing-harvest-2018.bpt.me] People have long requested that I offer this class. In this day-long workshop I will share how to use Pan Pastels to draw our subject, chosen from the cornucopia of autumnal fare. We will use both Pan Pastels and colored pencils to compete our drawings.
Day 2- Drawing Fall Leaves Sunday, November 11 10am-3pm [To purchase Day 2 only, visit: drawing-leaves-2018.bpt.me] We will spend the day learning to see and to draw beautiful, changing, fall leaves using colored pencils and watercolor pencils.
Day 3- Drawing Pods, Seeds, and Twigs Sunday, December 2 10am-3pm [To purchase Day 3 only, visit: drawing-seedpods-2018.bpt.me] Join us to examine and draw the fascinating objects that nature produces in autumn. We will create studies and portraits, using graphite and colored pencils.
