The Howard Lane Concerts: Fantasy + Faenza
Artistic Director David McCormick invites you into his home for an intimate house concert featuring music for both violin and medieval fiddle. The program includes Fantasias of Telemann, a sprinkling of solo Bach, plus fantasia-like arrangements of works from the Faenza Codex and Cantigas de Santa Maria. Expect the unexpected - spontaneous Q&A sessions, an unplanned improvisation, guest stars...who knows what will happen!
But, only 15 lucky folks will be able to attend! Here's how it will work: you'll reserve your space online with a $5 ticket, then pay what you will (cash or check only) at the door. Proceeds go towards EMAP's spring and summer concerts.
Feel free to bring wine or a nosh to share - we'll have a nice mingle both before and after the short concert. The dress and the vibe are casual.
