Shakespeare: Text, Voice and Body.
Under the direction of Carter Rodriquez, actors will work intensely a Shakespearean text of their choice to truly makes sense of and internalize the language.  Vocal and physical technique will be key in this work.  Character choices will also be explored.

Actors all over the world continue to explore this inspiring writer. Why? Because performing Shakespeare demands you to be a better actor. Anything that you want to improve at as an actor will be demanded of you by working on Shakespeare's text. In this three session workshop, you will learn simple tools to deconstruct the heightened language and situations of Shakespeare's words and learn how to make them your own. You will learn how the rhythm and meter of verse can support you as you explore the possibilities for a character, and how to connect more deeply to the truth in the language, both vocally and physically. Each student will work on a speech and possibly a scene.

All experience levels accepted but must have some experience. Actors must choose a Shakespeare speech prior to beginning of workshop and be close to off book.

Three sessions of 3 hours each:  Total 9 hours

May 20th, 6-9pm

May 23rd,  6-9pm

Maximum Participants:  12

Actors must attend all sessions.  Please wear comfortable clothing.
