Friends for Benefits presents a Benefit for Artichoke!

Artichoke has held a special place in my heart and has been an important part of the community, bringing music into peoples lives for decades. Friends for Benefits is very honored to be a part of this adventure!-- Robin Greene-Jacobs, founder of Friends for Benefits.

David Gross is a singer song-writer who got his start in the Chicago club scene and toured around the mid-west. He has opened for a wide range of performers, notably; Odetta, Dave Van Ronk, Tom Waites, John Prine, Supertramp, John Fahey, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee, and many others. He was signed as a writer to Chappel Music after a move to California, and eventually moved his way from Venice, Ca. to Eugene, and finally to the Portland area.

Ken Zimmerman's songs are rooted in the folk and blues traditions, branching into new forms. As the lyrics and stories in his songs suggest, Ken is a poet and writer as well as a singer/songwriter. Ken performs his music solo and with the band Cross Current. You can find some of his songs at cross-currentmusic.com.

Robin Greene-Jacobs is an authentically, organically-grown indie folk musician. She tells stories that reflect relationships of love, loss and adventure.
