JUSTIN MARTIN
As the late Oscar Wilde once said: life is too important to be taken seriously, an ethos that Justin Martin is sticking with despite achieving soaring success over the last 15 years as a producer and international DJ. Justin initially pricked the ears of the electronic music community in 2003 with his first record The Sad Piano on Ben Watts Buzzin Fly label. Everyone in the electronic music food chain got involved, from the A list DJs like Derrick Carter and Pete Tong that were playing the track, to the international music press that were raving about it. It even translated to the German underground, with Poker Flat licensing it for Steve Bugs Bugnology compilation. Like someone that goes bowling for the first time and gets five strikes and a turkey, Justin couldnt really have hoped for a better entrance. Feeding off the energy of the San Francisco underground and mentored by fellow super producer Claude Vonstroke, Justin was intrinsically involved with the development of dirtybird records, appearing on its first four releases. Justin was soon ready to take flight, releasing a string of solo EPs which flaunted a very unique sound and garnered still more respect among fellow DJS and heavyweights of the scene.
Still floating on cloud nine following the release of his 2016 sophomore album, Hello Clouds, hands down one of the best albums of that year. Justin is never one to rest on his laurels, no matter how many hes stacked up over the years. In early 2017, he kept the beats floating high in the sky with the Hello Clouds Remixes album, which topped the Beatport charts and featured remixes from the top brass in the business, like Soul Clap, Chris Lorenzo, Redlight and more of his DJ homies. He rounded out the year with huge festival plays at Coachella, HARD Summer, Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival and Snowglobe.
In 2018 he has continued with a packed show schedule that included another run at Coachella this past April, a performance at Movement last month, and now - his return to Seattle for his 5th gig with the Uniting Souls crew, but his first at Monkey Loft!
As one of the original founders of Dirtybird, Martin remains at the forefront of the imprints ongoing development. This year, the Dirtybird crew expanded its signature Dirtybird Campout boutique festival to the East Coast for the first time ever since launching in 2015. Next month, Martin leads the Dirtybird Players on a main stage takeover at Northern Nights in NorCal.
If youve been keeping up with Martin on Instagram, you may have noticed he recently posted a few pics of himself in his brand-new studio with the teasing tagline, Back at it We had to plug the man himself of whats to come.
Now that my studio is built, Justin tells DJ Mag, I can finally put the finishing touches on a lot of this unreleased material that you consistently hear me playing in my sets. Nothing makes me happier than making music, and for the past year, I have been absolutely itching to get back into the studio, so you better believe the creative floodgates are now open.

Uniting Souls Music, the record label branch, was launched by Ramiro in 2004, and has featured several chart-topping releases, annual sales in over 70 countries & licensing deals with top labels & services, including Toolroom, Om, Balance, Exotic Refreshment, and NordicTrax. USM releases have been charted by the likes of Mark Knight, Green Velvet, Claude VonStroke, Doc Martin, and many others.

DJ MANOJ
Manoj arose from the dancefloor and will always be a dancer at heart. He is one of the pioneers in the west coast dance culture emerging circa 1991 both shaping and being shaped by this amazing adventure. Continually moved and changed by the power of music and the many transformational experiences he encounters while dancing and performing, he now dedicates his life to share with others the inspirations that he has received.
Understanding and deeply rooted in the legacy of the the most formidable founding dj's, that the power of dance music is unleashed through the ability to take dancers on a journey, he uses the contemporary technologies available with the vast genres of music to weave a limitless musical landscape.
Realizing every opportunity to play music for others is a gift, he does his best to stay open, meet the dancers where they are at and then take them to a more inspiring, lighter and playful space within themselves as the music comes through.
TAIT MODERN
Tait is a positive force whos woven into the fabric of Seattle's underground music community. A builder of creative alliances, beautiful spaces and tough beats, Taits evolution as an artist flows with the story of the growth of the burgeoning dance music metropolis.
As a key player in Uniting Souls, Taits current house sound represents a hard, edgy sound true to his punk rock and drum & bass roots. In the early days with the crew, he helped bridge the house-heavy roster with the citys finest drum & bass talent, and with his drive to create more avenues for the music that moved him, ignited other nights around the city.
Taits role with the now-legendary epicenter that was Electric Tea Garden was a labor of love that signified a growth point for him as a DJ and promoter, hustling for all the various crews who ran their regular and one-off nights at the venue.
Hes passionate about pushing the edges of DJ performance and building alliances to create memorable experiences, including the beloved summertime Cascadia festival.
DERRICK DEEP
A skilled producer, enthralling DJ, and avid enthusiast of music, art & spirituality, Derrick has been a Uniting Souls resident DJ & event curator & producer since 2006. His flawless mixing style & passionate sets move thousands of dancers at the dozens of events which he is invited to perform year after year, including his long-running Diggin' Deep residency (every last Saturday at the Monkey Loft) & area festivals like Cascadia and Hempfest.
GRIFFINGRRL
GriffinGrrl is the new DJ alias of Emily Griffin, intent on amplifying the fierce beauty of this moment and aligning forces with the Seattle community who inspired her through major recent life shifts. After a long hiatus from behind the decks, beloved artist friends called her back to step up and let it flow. While she's not content to rest on her past accomplishments, with her 20+ years of experience as a catalyst and champion of dance music culture, shes earned her veteran status. Baptized by blacklight in the early 90s Los Angeles rave scene, she then came up as Ms.E - a radio host, club promoter and DJ at the epicenter of San Franciscos jungle/drum & bass movement. Her passion for positive, music-driven media fueled her collaborative involvement in all aspects of the business - from XLR8R Magazine to Xbox Entertainment, vinyl and digital record labels, film & TV sync licensing and countless events Stateside and beyond. Whether shes busting out the chunky tech house vibes, bassy beats or that lush "mellow fiyah that will melt your heart, youll feel Emilys optimism radiating in her sets. Shes here to inspire you to stand tall and move forward. Bless!
RAMIRO
As founder of Uniting Souls, Ramiro has worked actively over the past two decades to build community through dance music gatherings and artistic expression, becoming internationally-regarded as a "Seattle house music institution" (The Stranger) and a West Coast legend (KEXP).
Over the past two decades, Ramiro has received lots of love from the community, producing & performing at over 800 events in the Pacific Northwest, the SF Bay Area & beyond - including club nights, underground warehouse parties, outdoor & boat parties, and area festivals like Cascadia, Photosynthesis, and Hempfest.
Through his DJ sets, Ramiro aims to inspire connection and celebrate the special bonding experience we all share through music & dance. Ramiros mixes & sets each tell a story, working the groove & bringing the love, creating a space where all feel welcome.
A seasoned veteran behind the decks, Ramiros affinity & ability to connect with the dance floor is widely evident during his sets & enjoyed by thousands of dancers year after year. Home is where the heart is. Welcome to Ramiro's house!
