Bees and Seeds: In Our Hands
Come explore the relationship between bees and seeds with us! Co-taught by Erin Rupp of Pollinate MN and Koby Hagen of Seed Sages, this class will explore the co-evolution and current interdependence of bees and seeds, and how we can foster healthy existence for years to come. This class includes hands-on activities with bees (we'll put on beekeeping suits and safely explore a working honey bee colony, and compare honey bees to our wild bees**) and flowers and seeds (we will be exploring shapes, sizes, and functions in the field, as well as collecting and sharing seeds for next year), a tour of Lily Springs Farm bee and seed plots, and some useful tips and resources to take home. Bring own lunch for 1pm, light snacks provided.
The rain date for this event is September 23rd. Cost of this workshop is $40 but scholarships are available. Please email andrea.e@tinydiner.com for more information.
