Finn Parker Presents: An Intimate Evening with Cigar City Brewing

Finn Parker is a trader. I mean a SERIOUS beer trader. Seems like everytime we're looking to get our hands on something cool, Finn always responds with, "I know a guy..." He's a good friend to have. The best part about Finn is that the dude likes to share. As a result, we put our heads together and came up with an idea for an intimate event that we could put on in the small private room just off the bar at Urge. Limited to 12 guests, it will be a chance to taste some amazing beers that Finn has gotten his hands on. All beers for this event are brewed by Cigar City out of Tampa, Florida. Here's the line up:

--Big Sound Scotch Ale 9.0% ABV
--99 points Rate Beer

--Moat Water Sweet Stout 8.0% ABV
--100 points Rate Beer

--Jai Alai IPA aged on White Oak 7.5% ABV
--99 points Rate Beer

--Marshal Zhukov's Imperial Stout 11.0% ABV
--100 points Rate Beer

--Humidor Double American Black Ale 11.0% ABV
--98 points Rate Beer

--Bolita Double Nut Brown Ale 9.0% ABV
--98 points Rate Beer

Each attendee will receive about 6oz of each beer and considering the strength of some of these bad boys, that's a fairly hefty amount. Your ticket gets you entry to the event and a healthy portion of unhealthy (but delicious) appetizers provided by Urge. Finn will host the event, provide the beer and "share" it amongst the attendees.

This is the first in a series that we expect to host over the next couple of months as Finn comes across other amazing finds. He's working on stuff from 3 Floyds, Cascade and a few other gems as well. Stay tuned!
