Evento

The Crucible
Featuring the characters from our history books of Abigail Williams, Reverend John Hale, Reverend Samuel Parris, John and Elizabeth Proctor and, of course, Rebecca Nurse, this 1953 play is brought to the Orpheum Stage by Roundabout Productions in this daring interpretation of this Arthur Miller classic.

Retelling the tale of the Salem witch trials in the times, our play is a dramatized and partially fictionalized story that took place in the Massachusetts Bay Colony during 1692/93. Miller wrote the play as an allegory for McCarthyism, when the United States government ostracized people for being communists. Miller himself was questioned by the House of Representatives'Committee on Un-American Activities in 1956 and convicted of contempt of Congress for refusing to identify others present at meetings he had attended.

Tickets are $12 in advance for adults / $10 for children, veterans, seniors and student ($15/$12 at the door) with general seating at the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center, an iconic 400 seat theater located right on the Common in beautiful downtown Foxborough, Massachusetts.
