The Lincoln Lodge: Send Colin and Angee to South Africa Comedy Showcase Extravaganza!
This June, teaching artists Angee Lennard and Colin Palombi will travel to Viljoenskroon, South Africa to help local youth create animations. Working with the creative arts charity Dramatic Need, Angee and Colin will spend three weeks with secondary students at Pete Patsa Community Arts Centre, drawing, sharing stories, learning about animation and playing with optical toys. This self-funded trip is a cultural exchange as well as as an opportunity to foster self-confidence and self-expression in a creative environment - an opportunity that is rare for rural South African youth.
A portion of the proceeds from the March 29th Lincoln Lodge show, also known as Send Colin and Angee to South Africa Comedy Showcase Extravaganza, will support these artists on their epic journey to the southern hemisphere.
