Internationally-acclaimed indie-folk-rock songwriter duo Mandy Fer & Dave McGraw will be performing at Wind River Studio with Thomas Lord on electric bass.
Known as a standout electric guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Mandy Fer is unafraid to dominate the stage for an extended guitar solo, defying long-held gender barriers for female guitarists. Dave McGraw's emotional songwriting riffs on natural elements of the world around him. McGraw spent a decade as a wildlife biologist, studying endangered birds in remote locales from the deserts of Mexico and the Grand Canyon to the mountainous rainforests of Washington. McGraw and Fer joined forces in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2010 before relocating to the San Juan Islands in Washington State in 2012.
Together, their exceptional vocal harmonies coupled with Fer's pioneering electric guitar work have become a vehicle to carry them around the world. The pair has honed their skills touring extensively throughout the US and Europe, sharing stages with such acts as Iron & Wine, Glen Hansard, Gregory Alan Isakov, Charlie Hunter Trio, Birds of Chicago and many others. Winning over audiences anywhere from Alaska to Amsterdam, McGraw and Fer perform a heartfelt and dynamic blend of innovative folk-rock.

Christie McCarthy is an award-winning singer-songwriter, environmentalist, and the daughter of beloved LA Daily News columnist Dennis McCarthy. She has written, recorded and produced five original full-length records, and performed for thousands of people at diverse venues across the country, including the Ryman Auditorium (the original Grand Ole Opry). Her songs have been featured on high-profile compilations, and in movies and TV.
Her newest record, Big Picture, features 12 original tunes that reflect our complicated times and offer hope. Recorded at Wind River Studios in the Santa Cruz mountains with a top shelf band of local legends, Big Picture combines folk, rock and blues to deliver a smart, warm and engaging record reminiscent of the 70s Laurel Canyon era.
Christie is a wordsmith whose well-crafted storytelling offers up an understanding of the human condition that's delivered by striking, rich and sweet as honey-spiced wine vocals.
