Poetry Extravaganza: A Gadfly Fundraiser Show
Come join us for what could be, quite possibly, the best poetry show of all time! Featuring FIFTEEN of the Twin Cities's finest poets, this is a fundraiser show unlike any other. Curated and hosted by Ollie Schminkey, all proceeds benefit Gadfly Theatre Productions.
Doors at 7 pm; show at 7:30.
Advance tickets $7 (link coming soon)
Tickets at the door $10-15 sliding scale (no one will be turned away for lack of funds!)

ABOUT GADFLY THEATRE COMPANY:
Gadfly is a queer and feminist theatre organization which produces intersectional works that include subjects, themes, and characters important to the LGBTQ+ community. Gadfly ensures that casts and crews of shows are largely LGBTQ+, and we are especially interested in producing plays that have non-white characters, transgender characters, and disabled characters. We believe in ethical representation: those characters are played only by actors who share the characters identities and intersections.
We do everything we can to be accessible to actors, writers, and audience members alike. We hold all of our shows in ADA-compliant venues, pay all of our artists, and offer shows with both sliding scale and Pay-What-You-Can options.
ABOUT STRIKE THEATER:
Strike Theater is dedicated to Twin Cities sketch comedy, storytelling, and spoken word.
Founded by Director of Word Sprout and SlamMaster of Poetry and SlamMN! Allison Broeren, and longtime Improv Artists, Educators, and Brave New Workshop Alumni Mike Fotis and Joe Bozic.
In partnership with SEIU Local 26 Janitor/Window Washer/Security Union. For real. It's awesome. Trust us. Together we Strike.
ACCESSIBILITY AND PARKING INFORMATION:
Parking is free on the street and in the lot. There is an entrance off of 18th Ave with 6 steps. If you are a patron at one of the other establishments in the building before a show, you can enter through the building.
If you park in the lot, there is an ADA compliant ramp that will take you into the building, where you can follow the hallway until you reach the back door of Strike. (It's a little bit of a trek-- if you have questions, message me at Ollie Renee Schminkey).
Seating within the theatre is tiered, with low steps between the rows. The entire front row has no steps and will be dedicated to accessible seating.
Various bus lines (including the 30 and the 10), have stops a few blocks from the theater.
