Women's Legacy Fund Annual Luncheon
The Women's Legacy Fund 16th Annual Luncheon will take place from noon to 1:45pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Alex Madonna Expo Center, San Luis Obispo. We expect more than 800 passionate and influential women and men in attendance at the event. We are very excited to announce our keynote speaker for this year's Women's Legacy Fund Luncheon is Ted Bunch.
Ted Bunch is an educator, activist and lecturer working to end all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls. Bunch is co-founder of A CALL TO MEN and is internationally recognized for his efforts to prevent violence against women while promoting a healthy, respectful manhood. He is a leading voice on male socialization, the intersection of masculinity and violence against women, and healthy, respectful manhood. Ted is dedicated to strengthening community accountability to end all forms of violence against women. A CALL TO MEN envisions a world where all men and boys are loving and respectful and all women and girls are valued and safe.
We believe that our community members will find this is a topical and important presentation of how to address and solve one of the serious problems challenging our community and county.
Proceeds from this luncheon are added into the permanent endowment which will allow us to provide grants to our community into perpetuity. Last year our luncheon attendees raised more than $80,000 in donations and pledges for women and girls in need in San Luis Obispo County.
Since its inception in 2003, the Women's Legacy Fund permanent endowment has grown to more than $1.4 million, which has allowed us to award more than $350,000 in grants to non-profit programs that benefit women and girls in our community.
Tickets to the luncheon are $50 each or a table of 10 for $500. Please note that you will need to input all guest names and menu selections at the time of purchase. Dining options are a Mandarin Chicken Salad OR a Vegetarian Mediterranean Sandwich. The deadline to make ticket reservations is September 10th, 2018.
