The Winters Tale is about destruction brought about by human frailty, transgression, and betrayal - and the possibility of genuine atonement, sacrifice and reconciliation; it is about the potential in each person for owning our accountability in wrongdoing; and then being given a second chance to make things right again.

We keep coming back to Shakespeare because his characters are complex, conflicted, contradictory human beings, in worlds that are every bit as challenging as our own.

Our audiences tell us that watching the tragic struggles of Shakespeare's characters makes them feel less alienated from society; less the sum of their mistakes and more respected as complex human beings.

In addition to our shows at Raisbeck this years tour will perform at Echo Glen Childrens Center, Washington Corrections Center for Women, Monroe Correctional Complex, and Harborview Medical Center, Volunteer Park, and Pratt Park.
