Matt Stern is a wonderful Canadian musician and internationally touring singer and songwriter who is making waves with his infectious melodies and his authentic, heart-centered lyrics. Matt Stern is a global artist dedicated to expanding authentic expression and creating a deep sense of community. His positive message and soulful melodies are spreading within Canada and worldwide. Born in Montreal, his songs have already reached audiences in Japan, France, Germany and Nicaragua. Because of his international reach, he can speak many languages and has performed in Spanish, French, Japanese and German, among many others! Since releasing his new album, Magic, produced by Joby Baker on Prospect Lake, Matt ventured to the West Coast and will be touring Vancouver Island this year, along with musical projects in Hawai'i, California, Montreal and Japan.

Matt is an artist who has a keen interest in mixing art forms. Last year he performed a duet with burlesque dancer The Velvet Unicorn at Intrepid Theatre's OUTstages Cabaret and composed Precious and Sacred, a self-love mantra set to the words of author Debora Abood's book dedicated to Indigenous children. The French Music Festival by the Société Francophone de Victoria has also invited him back for the second year in a row in June-2018
He has been featured in Exclaim!, on Global TV, and on CBC Radio's Home From the Vinyl Café, and has most recently been nominated for the Album Art / Photography Design category at the Independent Music Awards. His music video for Chance to Live, filmed with artistic collaborators in Victoria, BC, was noted by Radio-Canada International for its lively promotion of body positivity and cultural diversity. Throughout 2018, Matt will be participating in a master class, All The Way In with renowned vocal improviser Rhiannon.
