Studio5 is delighted to present two of Chicagos most innovative contemporary ballet companies in our intimate theater, for one night only. Sharing the program will be Chicago Repertory Ballet and Elements Ballet, bringing performances that have been described as Beautiful, lush, exciting and dramatic.

Elements Ballet presents new works in the Neo-Classical vein with impressive technicality and grace. The company has created a repertory of original contemporary ballets and unique collaborative productions with Chicago-based artists and organizations. Entering its 11th season, Elements Ballet is known for its ability to engage audiences with passionate dancing, innovative choreography, and transcendent theatrical events.

Chicago Repertory Ballet's motto is "Dance that Defies Labels". Their work has been described as being committed to narrative, to the story-telling traditionally synonymous with ballet itself. Now in its 6th season, you can expect to see ambitious choreography that mixes classical and contemporary vocabulary.

The night will have special meaning as Megan Walsh, after ten years of dancing with Elements Ballet, will be retiring. Megan got her start as a student at Dance Center Evanston, and we are thrilled to be there for her final performance.
