Andrew Duhon (New Orleans) - Private Event - Chattanooga House Show
Friends have been telling me about Andrew Duhon for a while now.
Andrew Duhon is a songwriter from New Orleans, a teller of stories with an undeniable voice, weighted and soulful. Duhon has released 3 recordings, the latest of which, The Moorings, was nominated for a Grammy in 2014 for Best Engineered Album. Now Duhon's new record, False River, was produced by award-winning, Eric Masse, and will be released in May 2018.
He has toured solo for much of his career, and that troubadour element is certainly present, an usher of modern day folklore. His latest group, The Andrew Duhon Trio brings a new musicality to the tunes with upright bassist, Myles Weeks and drummer, Maxwell Zemanovic. Since recording The Moorings together as their first project, the Trio has been crossing the American landscape, touring and creating together, the thoughtful colors of the trio breathing a new musicality and direction into Duhon's songwriting traditions.

MORE ABOUT CHATTANOOGA HOUSE SHOWS
A few things to know if you haven't been to one of our house concerts before.
We find talented, professional musicians who are touring across the country. We look for artists who have something special. Some of them are selling out 1000 person venues in their home market and winning music awards. A lot of them have been invited to perform on internationally recognized video series like NPR Tiny Desk Concerts, Audiotree Live, or Paste Magazine. For many of them, this is their first or second time in Chattanooga or have only passed through between bigger cities.
Lucky for us, that means we get to see them in an intimate setting and you can be a part of putting our town on the map for hosting/supporting emerging, independent artists.
This is a unique opportunity (and such a treat) to experience live music, up close and personal. The audience (aka you!) is just as important to make these shows special. We want a full room of friends, and friends of friends, who enjoy discovering new music, meeting new people, and want to see independent artists thrive. If you're a local musician, we'd also love for you to come and meet fellow artists in other areas so we can create more bridges for our local talent.
Suggested contribution $15 - $20.
100% goes to the artist/s. Your contribution helps make Chattanooga another reason why artists will come back every time they're on tour (even when they get big and famous ;)).
RSVP-ing here means we are holding a spot for you. Out of respect for the artist and host, if something unavoidable comes up, please make sure your spot is filled. Find a friend to take your place or 48 HOURS NOTICE appreciated!

- PARKING is limited/narrow street - Walk, bike, Uber/Lyft, carpool encouraged
- This is a private home with (very cool) neighbors, but please be mindful when parking and no smoking on premises
