Leila Laibidi was living in luxury with her rich husband; but he died in a remote village; so she will find herself compelled to bring his remains to his hometown. Au pays des Merveilles which translates to "In Wonderland" tells the story of a wealthy, snobby and pretentious woman, whose circumstances have led to her sharing the life of a modest family in the Atlas mountains where the living conditions are cruel. The film was shot in the whereabouts of Azrou town.

In Wonderland is a drama and comedy hybrid. It tackles the rough life led by villagers in the Atlas mountains with its harsh and icy climatic condition, through a comical approach.

Renowned actors such as Majdouline Idrissi, Aziz Dadas, Mohamed Choubi, Malek Akhmiss, Houda Sidki and Fadwa Taleb, have participated in the success of this film.

Regarding her first experience in directing, Jihane El Bahhar confirmed that the conditions of filming were indeed very difficult, which took over two months to shoot. However, the star of the movie, Majdouline Idrissi, said she enjoyed working with a director whos passionate with her work and carries a unique artistic vision. It was a great pleasure that the shooting took place in a family and friendly atmosphere .

Al bahhar is an audiovisual section graduate, from Ibn mssik faculty of Casablanca. She had been participating in writing several sitcoms such as Lalla Fatima , Dar oumi Hania passing by yak Hna Jirane ; before devoting herself to the writing of Télé films: eu sadaqua by Adil FDILI, Juste pour les couples by Hassan Benjelloun; And feature films including Femmes en miroirs by Saad CHRAIBI.
