Shelter Our Students
It is estimated that nearly 20% of community college students in the Los Angeles area are without a place to sleep at night or are in non-permanent housing situations that include staying in cars, using friends' couches, and staying in unsafe situations. We ask for your support in a collaborative venture between Learning Works Charter School and Pasadena City College (PCC) to open a rapid-response shelter for PCC students who might otherwise sleep on the streets. With your support, we can keep them successfully enrolled in PCC with support from the PCC community.
