OVST's 3 week Theater Camp is June 11-29 all for $150. Rising grades 2-6 meet from 9:00-11:30 M-F and 12:00-3:00 for 7-12. Some time adjustment will occur the final week to join the two camps together for one amazing production for family and friends.
Come join us "A long, long time ago. In a Galaxy far, far away. Star Wars: Verily a New Hope." This fantastic retelling of Star Wars uses Shakespeare's famous writing style. The Saga of the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader, a beautiful Princess Leia held captive, as well as a young farmer Luke Skywalker, who will one day become a hero and save the galaxy. Shakespeare and Star Wars abound with all the adventure, valor, villainy and spectacle of the Bard's greatest plays.
Students will have professionals presenting workshops on stage combat and on "speak the speech" Shakespeare style!
We also offer a technical theater track for those wanting to work the lights and sound.
Camp concludes with a production that will show all they have learned. This free show is the culmination of 3 weeks work will be at 11:00 on Friday June 29.
