May Edible and Medicinal Plant Walk
Our May Plant walk will be held at the Mercer Slough Nature Park, where we will get the opportunity to learn about wetland plants, including skunk cabbage, highbush cranberry, horsetail, pacific crabapple, salmon berry, labrador tea and more. Natalie typically speaks about edible, medicinal and material uses of the plants we encounter. Please remember that harvesting at most parks is prohibited. We will be there to observe and learn only.

We will carry on despite the weather, so dress accordingly. Part of being a forager is being out in all weather, which Natalie believes builds a strong spirit and connection to place.

Please purchase your tickets ahead of time on Brown Paper Tickets to guarantee your spot.  You are also responsible for paying attention to the meeting spot and looking it up ahead of time. There are several parking lots at the Arboretum.

I host plant walks every month in various parks, even in the winter! Attending them in different seasons is a good way to expand your repertoire.
