Medicine Making 3: Syrups, Honeys and Elixirs

Herbal syrups, infused honeys and elixirs are where herbal medicine and deliciousness intersect. In this two hour class, we will be thoroughly exploring the possibilities of these three preparations, what herbs fit well with them, method, storage, ingredients and all the wonderful details. We'll taste various preparations, and make them as a group in class. Students will take home samples two different preparations made in class, as well as an informational worksheet.

This class will include honey, sugar, and alcohol, so those with allergies or aversions should steer clear.

Bring a notebook, come with questions, and be ready to learn. Natalie is a fast-paced teacher, and she likes to cover as much as possible in the time.
