Gallery Suite Jazz Series - April
Welcome to Season 6 of the Gallery Suite Jazz Series!
Since its inception in 2012, the Gallery Suite Jazz Series has been host to forty nine sold out artist showcases of forty nine featuring a celebrated list of regional, national and international artists. Now in its sixth season, the series continues its tradition of offering the best venue entertainment in downtown Lansing performed by notable artists in various styles of the jazz idiom.
The Gallery Suite Jazz Series is hosted by International recording artist and saxophonist Phil Denny and takes place inside La Fille Gallery; downtown Lansing's most unique and intimate artist-owned studio space. The hip, urban, raw venue artistically designed and decorated by Internationally celebrated and multi-discipline artist Tiffany Marie posesess wood ceilings, hardwood floors and exposed brick walls which creates the ideal backdrop for you and your guests to experience a night of lively entertainment with an emphasis on diversion though pure musical artistry. With a limited seating capacity, those present will feel as though the music is being performed just for them.
This month, in celebration of and to our 50th artist showcase, we welcome contemporary jazz and R&B super group, Urban Jazz Coalition.Urban Jazz Coalition has been one of the hottest live performance ensembles on the contemporary jazz scene for some time now and 2015 marked the celebration of this ground breaking bands 20th Anniversary as a performing group. Guests are encouraged to wear black and gold as this will be our color theme for the evening.
Arrive early for celebratory favors and gallery tours.
Masters of Confection ~ Handmade Artisan Chocolates and Confections ~ joins us again offering decadent chocolates making a great pairing for your jazz and wine experience. Light sampling will be offered and tasty treats available for purchase.

The gallery suite doors will open at 7:00pm. Multi-level gallery tours are available and guests are encouraged to arrive early to stroll the main gallery floor. Art and textures are ever-changing so there is something new to see each month.
The music showcase will begin at 8:00pm. Estimated showtime is 90 minutes. Entry to the gallery suite is located in the back of the gallery (south) just off Museum Drive.
CASH BAR AVAILABLE! The cash bar (beer & wine) is provided by Midtown Brewing Co. Michigan craft beer and select world wines will be featured.
Join us at The Exchange in the loft area for an After Glow immediately following the show. GSJS attendees may take advantage of food and drink specials, conversation and dance.
Artist(s) merchandise will be available for purchase following the show. Cash preferred, credit cards accepted.
