Doors open at 7PM and guests are invited to attend Johnnys Pre-Show Party prior to the film. Sponsored by Sassy Sweets, the party will include pizza, beverages, cheesecake, and little tossing of the football. Tickets to the event are $10 and include access to Johnnys Pre-Show Party, THE ROOM, and as many plastic spoons that you can carry! Advance tickets available online until 11:59PM on April 13. Any remaining tickets will be released to the public at the Box Office on April 14 at 7PM. All seats are general admission.
First released in 2003, THE ROOM was written, produced, directed, and stars Tommy Wiseau and quickly gained notoriety as being the worst movie ever made. Its cult-status grew throughout the years as audiences flocked to live showings that became anything but a normal cinema experience. Much akin to midnight screenings of Rocky Horror Picture Show Wiseaus film developed a comedic reputation that induces audiences to repeat specific lines out loud, throw plastic spoons at the screen, and even toss footballs in the crowd (audience participation guides will be provided before the screening).
Recently THE ROOM was the focal point of James Francos Golden Globe winning and Oscar nominated film The Disaster Artist, which examines Wiseaus creation of the film. This is an event you dont want to miss.
Synopsis
Johnny is a successful banker who lives happily in a San Francisco townhouse with his fiancée, Lisa. One day, inexplicably, she gets bored with him and decides to seduce his best friend, Mark. From there, nothing will be the same again.
