Kids Pottery Class
Resident Artist, Samantha Purze, teaches this engaging summer camp class for kids ages 4-13 during the month of July. The class is held from 1:00 PM CST to 2:30 PM CST on Mondays and Wednesdays. Kids will learn how to build a coil pot, slab box (with or without a lid), and their own ceramic tiles which can be used in a garden, hung on the wall, or placed on a table for decoration. At the end of the month, each child will go home with at least 3 ceramic works which they made themselves. Not only will the kids pick up a new hobby, they will also be welcomed into an environment where their creativity is encouraged and make new friends along the way! The price of this workshop is $145 per child which includes all materials, tools, and 8 instructed classes. All skill levels are welcome. Samantha is currently studying to get her bachelors degree in ceramics at Southern Illinois University.
