Each year, Annunciation House chooses a person or organization who has been an outstanding advocate for those people on the margins of society--the poor, the oppressed, the undocumented, people in migration--people whose voices often go unheard by the mainstream. At our Voice of the Voiceless solidarity dinner, we honor these advocates while sharing a simple meal of beans, rice and tortillas with our community of supporters.
This year is a special one because it marks the 40th year of Annunciation House's existence. Thus we are extending a particular invitation to all former volunteers to come celebrate with us, and to share memories and stories from their time in our houses. The event will recall and honor our history as we also look to our future.
