Hometown Hootenanny: Mostly Unplugged

The annual bluegrass and acoustic show is always one of the most popular in the Hootenanny series, and this year's should be no different. While we can't completely do away with microphones and amps, the Feb. 16 show will feature acoustic instruments and soaring voices in the time-honored bluegrass tradition, filling the cozy auditorium of the Historic Everett Theatre.

Headlining the show are The Howdy Boys. These musical veterans combine bluegrass with honky tonk, old-time country, and original songs for a unique sound that has earned them legions of fans.

Speaking of unique, Pickled Okra has that category covered! Starting with the husband and wife team of Todd and Paisley Gray, Pickled Okra features quirky and innovative takes on traditional bluegrass and old-timey favorites, plus their original tunes.

Combining the youthful enthusiasm of the Bluegrass Regulators with the musical virtuosity of Topstring, the quartet Tubal Cain will be featured, along with returning favorites Blueberry Hill bluegrass band, the incomparable J.W. McClure.
