Corpus Christi Songwriters Festival

The 1st Annual Corpus Christi Songwriters Festival, Music Awards and Conference will be held from Feb. 16-18, 2018, and feature international, national and regionally renowned songwriters during a three-day event, hosting an array of concerts, workshops, and other songwriting-related events kicking off on Friday, Feb. 16 and running through Sunday, Feb. 18.

Events will simultaneously take place in both downtown Corpus Christi and in town, giving festival-goers, and visiting songwriters alike, the opportunity to see all that our beautiful city has to offer.

Thanks to a partnership with Aloft Corpus Christi, we will be offering an All-Inclusive Package, with a 2-night stay at the brand new hotel, plus access to all Festival-related events, brunches, mixers, and work shop!

Festival

Songwriters such as Susan Gibson, George Ensle, Claude Butch Morgan, Matt Hole, Ty Dietz, Tyler McCumber, Steven James & The Jaded, Timothy Doc Carter & Matt Grundy (and over 20 more to be announced soon) will perform during events on Friday, Saturday, and an all-day concert on Sunday, Feb. 18 culminating that night with a special In The Rounds, open to the public, with featured songwriter George Ensle!

Awards Ceremony Brunch

On Sunday, Feb. 18, an Awards Ceremony Brunch will be held at the Exchange, with awards given to local and regional songwriters and performers nominated by our community and CCSW Board of Directors (who will not be eligible for nominations), and judged by a non-partial / outside Jury. We will also be honoring our 2017 Corpus Christi Songwriters Hall-of-Fame Inductees, Timothy Doc Carter and Ty Dietz.
A Best of Fest Award will also be given to ONE Songwriter, to be awarded after the event.

Songwriting Workshop with Matt Grundy

On Saturday afternoon, Feb. 17, songwriter Matt Grundy will be hosting a songwriting workshop on the craft. An After-Party Song Swap will take place afterwards.

Corpus Christi Songwriters (CCSW) an extension of Corpus Christi PATCH, a 501(c)3 is dedicated to providing resources, education and a spring-board for local songwriters in the Corpus Christi area.
