Yoel, an Israeli historian and Orthodox Jew, searches to uncover the truth about a massacre of Jews during the latter days of WWII. With neither witnesses nor knowledge of the location of their mass grave, Yoels task is difficult. During his search, however, he discovers his mothers classified testimony and learns that she is not the woman whom he thought she was. Yoel recognizes he must grapple with the dichotomy between his identity and the truth.
