Tony Rebel was the progenitor of sing jay style, a melodic mix of dancehall Dj Toasting and Singing. Tony sings a roots- oriented dancehall style. He and his brethren , the late Garnet Silk initiated a spiritual renaissance within the youthful dancehall style compontent of jamaican reggae.
